Impressive performance by Ashwin in the recent games for India, have given a boost up confidence to Kohli-lead team for the next game against South Africa in Capetown. Ashwin seems to be consistent not only in bowling but also scoring runs by bat. According to the test captain, Ashwin has been a perfect substitute for Jadeja, who has been ruled out due to injury. “Jadeja’s value everyone understands and what he has done for the team, but I think Ash has been playing that role pretty well for us,” Kohli quoted as reported by TOI.
Virat is set to be back in playing 11 and captain team India in the third test in Capetown, with the results being 1-1 as of now, where a great win by team India was compensated when the hosts showed back a margin victory at Wanderers by chasing 240 runs. The third test will be the result of who wins on Tuesday, 11th January.

Siraj, during the second test incurred hamstring to which he majorly didn’t bowl for sometime. Rahul Dravid comments on Siraj, expressing his absence in 11 might affect the team strategy. “Losing Siraj (was a factor) as he wasn’t 100 percent in the first innings,” said head coach Rahul Dravid during the pre-match conference on Monday as reported by TOI.
