Ashwin seems to be consistent not only in bowling but also scoring runs by bat. According to the test captain, Ashwin has been a perfect substitute for Jadeja, who has been ruled out due to injury. “Jadeja’s value everyone understands and what he has done for the team, but I think Ash has been playing that role pretty well for us,” Kohli quoted as reported by TOI.

Rahul Dravid comments on Siraj, expressing his absence in 11 might affect the team strategy. “Losing Siraj (was a factor) as he wasn’t 100 percent in the first innings,” said head coach Rahul Dravid during the pre-match conference on Monday as reported by TOI.
