
The Indian Cricket team captain Virat Kohli has completed 1000 runs in Test cricket in England. Virat is currently playing the five-Test match series against England. He reaches the landmark of scoring 1000 runs as a visiting player in England on Sunday in the fourth Test match against the English side which is going on at The Oval cricket ground. India is playing their second innings to set a target for the England cricket team.
After getting all out on 191 in the first innings, India started well in the second one. After the Indian bowlers dismissed all the England batsmen for 290 in their first innings, Indian openers went on to the pitch for giving the target to the England team. India has now gone past 300 runs in the second innings with Indian opener Rohit Sharma scoring a magnificent century and dependable Cheteshwar Pujara scored 61. The Indian captain was at the crease after the wicket of Rohit Sharma, and he also gained momentum which was set by India’s top-order batsmen.
Virat Kohli while he was with the wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant in the middle, made another record after his 10k runs in First-Class cricket which he made just a few overs back in the same innings. Kohli hit an exquisite four to reach 1000 runs in Test cricket in England. He completed this milestone with his speciality, cover drive shot that was worth watching. But, while the Indian captain was on 44 runs, he got caught in the slip and had to walk back to the pavilion. Indian believes that they are still very much in this game as they are looking to take their lead back from the English side in this five-Test match series.
