Virat and team blow up in frustration with the DRS technology

Kohli, Rahul, Ashwin are frustrated with the DRS technology, which made Elgar’s dismissal overturned.

Indian players react frustratingly as Elgar’s decision was overturned by the DRS.

Captain Elgar was given out by umpire Erasmus, which was overturned when Elgar took DRS. Ashwin bowled a stunning ball, drifting in to get captain’s crucial wicket, but the DRS showed that the ball was rolling over the stumps and hence not hitting the wickets.

This situation happened during the 21st over of the South Africa’s second innings, when Ashwin was bowling to Elgar, with the opportunity of getting him out. The brilliant delivery by Ashwin made umpire Erasmus raise his fingers but the DRS had a whole different story. Elgar’s DRS call left everyone in surprise.

Indian players as well as Erasmus were left in shock when the replay showed ball over the stumps. Captain Kohli and the players seem to doubt the DRS and believe that someone interfered with the technology of DRS.

Ashwin initiated the talk, by blaming SuperSport (broadcasters of South Africa) and asked them to find better ways if South Africa wanted to win the game.

Virat, coming up to the stump mic debated the situation and said as telecasted on Star Sports Network, “Focus on your team as well and not just the opposition, trying to catch people all the time.”

KL Rahul too was frustrated with the situation as Elgar’s early wicket could have been a game snatching way to win this trophy. KL Rahul too believed that the whole South Africa country was against the Team India’s 11.

Towards the end of the day, Jasprit Bumrah managed to dismiss captain Elgar and Virat Kohli seemed to be aggressively happy as the heated controversy of the DRS call made the dressing room frustrated for the day. Elgar was caught out by Pant, on Bumrah’s delivery at 30(96).

With Day 3 coming to an end, India and South Africa both have equal chance to win this game, as the openers of South Africa depart, but Keegan’s form can take away this game from the Indian’s hands.

South Africa are at 101-2, with 111 runs to win. Tomorrow will shall witness Indians create a history or Proteas dominance. Keegan’s 48* off 61 makes the Kohli- lead team worry about tomorrow’s first session tactics.
