‘Venkatesh-Aakash’ twitter war goes ugly as Venkatesh Prasad replies harshly to Aakash Chopra’s video invitation

The Twitter debate over KL Rahul’s spot in the Indian team between former cricketers Venkatesh Prasad and Aakash Chopra has become quite heated. In his 12-minute YouTube video, Aakash questioned Prasad’s motivation for tweeting about Rahul, and the former Indian fast bowler responded by attacking the latter harshly. In retaliation, the former India opener challenged Prasad to a duel on his YouTube channel, but the latter shot that down with yet another vicious assault.

“Venky bhai, msgs are getting lost in translation. You here. Me on YT. I invite you to come on a Video Chat…we can do it Live. Difference on opinions is nice…lets do it properly. I’ll not have any sponsors on it & nobody will make money out of it. Up for it? You have my number,” Chopra tweeted.

Tuesday morning, Aakash posted a video on his YouTube channel. In response, Prasad posted a series of six tweets in which he accused the former India batter of creating a “vile video,” calling him a “agenda peddler,” and “cleverly” misquoting” him. Prasad also retrieved Aakash’s 11-year-old tweet about Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane in an effort to support his argument. The 53-year-old responded to Aakash with a total of six tweets in a thread.

“No Aakash, nothing is lost in translation. In your 12-minute video, you have called me an agenda peddler because it didn’t suit your narrative. And I have made my points very clear in this Twitter thread. Don’t wish to engage with you further on this,” he said.
