Umpire said we can leave the game and go if we are upset with the racism incidents: Siraj on racial abuse

The recent Border-Gavaskar trophy was stained by racial abusers abusing Indian cricketers during the third game. The claim that nudged the world of cricket was racial abuses from the crowd at Sydney Cricket Ground.

Opening up about the incident, Mohammed Siraj told NDTV: “Umpire had said we can leave the game and go if we are upset with the racism incidents, but Ajinkya Rahane said ‘why should we leave the game, we are here to play’.”

India’s triumph at Gabba is considered as the most remarkable win in Tests. Mohammed Siraj perhaps was not the first choice, but senior players absorbing the heat of injury got him the opportunity to feature in the playing 11.
