“To new beginnings,” tweets Dinesh Karthik ahead of Tata IPL 2022

Former KKR captain Dinesh Karthik was seen along with Faf du Plessis after the South African opener was named captain of the RCB on Saturday.

After Faf du Plessis was appointed as the captain of the IPL franchise named Royal Challengers Bangalore, his new teammate Dinesh Karthik posted pictures with him on Twitter. Former Kolkata Knight Riders’ captain Dinesh Karthik will be seen playing under the South African opening batter in this 15th season of the Indian Premier League. Defending champions Chennai Super Kings couldn’t retain Faf du Plessis before the auction and he was then bought by RCB for INR 7 Crore.

Challengers secured the signing of Faf and then also named him the captain of the franchise on Saturday. In an Unbox event of RCB, he was announced as the skipper. This IPL will be crucial for RCB as Virat Kohli will no more lead the team and at which number will he play will be the biggest question for his fans. On Sunday wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik posted pictures with the new skipper of RCB. “To new beginnings,” he tweeted on his official Twitter account.

Dinesh Karthik also wasn’t retained by his former franchise named Kolkata Knight Riders before the mega auction conducted in February. He was been bought for INR 5.50 Crores as RCB was looking for a good wicket-keeper batter. Tata IPL 2022 will be starting from 26th March and RCB fans are hoping that all these three Faf, Kohli, and Dinesh will be playing together in one team.
