“This is not T20 cricket,” pacer Siraj reveals the reason behind the banter with Litton Das

On day two of the Chattogram Test, India did well with the ball as Mohammed Siraj claimed the wickets of three of the top four batters. When Siraj sent Najmul Hossain Shanto back with the first ball of Bangladesh’s innings, he gave India the ideal start. However, it was his struggle with Litton Das that grabbed people’s attention.

The umpires intervened after the batter made a political move, and Siraj and Das were seen arguing as the Bangladeshi batter moved closer to the fast bowler. Immediately after, Das was seen making a few gestures toward Siraj, but the Indian bowler had the last laugh when he struck out the middle-order batter of Bangladesh with the very next ball.

In response to a question regarding the conversation he had with Das the ball before being dismissed during the post-game press conference, Siraj stated, “No, nothing. I said that this is not T20 cricket, it is Test cricket. Play sensible cricket.”
