Indian cricket team Rohit Sharma faced the media on Wednesday in a virtual press conference ahead of India’s three-match T20I series against Sri-Lanka which is starting from 24th February, Thursday. Team India is hosting this series along with the two-match Test series against them which is scheduled to be played in the month of March. The Indian skipper has made some big statements ahead of the series opener on Wednesday. He thinks that KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rishabh Pant have a very vital role to play for Team India in the future.
The current Indian captain also looked at these players as the potential leaders in the team and he feels that the role of all of these players is very important for the Indian team’s success.
“If you talk of Bumrah, KL Rahul, and Pant, they have a big role to play in India’s success, they are looked upon as leaders as well. They do understand there is a responsibility on their shoulders, but we do not want to put any pressure on them,” said skipper Rohit Sharma in a virtual press conference as reported by ANI on Wednesday.
Team India has recently won a three-match ODI series and a three-match T20I series against West Indies. Thus the team’s confidence is high and there is some very good sign of Rohit Sharma’s amazing captaincy in white-ball cricket after Rahul Dravid’s Blues clean-sweep West Indies in both the series they played.
