The ‘Master Blaster’ played his last international match on this day 7 years ago at his beloved Wankhede Stadium

Sachin Tendulkar played his last ever test match, which would also be his last international match on November 16, 2013 at Wankhede Stadium, which is his home ground in the city of Mumbai. The stadium was jam-packed with people from all over the world shedding tears at the same time watching their legend make his final walk, back to the pavillion.

India won the match comfortably by an innings and 126 runs and the ‘Master Blaster’ could just bat for one innings in his last test match. The legend scored 74 runs in 118 balls before a shot from his bat landed straight in the hands of the West Indian, Darren Sammy who burst into tears after taking the catch. Sachin finished his test career with 68 half-centuries and 51 centuries in 200 test matches at an average of 53.78 runs.
