Thailand defeated Pakistan for the first time in T20I on Thursday at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
In the 10th game of the ICC Women’s Asia Cup 2022, Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Opener Sidra Ameen played a promising inning of 56 of 64 to help Pakistan reach a respectable score of 116/5 in the first innings.
However, Pakistan did try to restrict Thailand as much as possible but it was a momentous day and a day written down in the history of Thailand cricket. It was Thailand’s opener Natthakan Chantham (61) who played the winning innings for the team.
This is the highest-ever run chase for Thailand in the Asia Cup.
