Mumbai Indians have already started their preparations ahead of the 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The five-time champions were training without their captain Rohit Sharma for some days. But, now the Indian cricket team captain is now all set to start the campaign as he was seen back at training on Saturday. Rohit Sharma was continuously playing matches for some weeks, thus was given a couple of days rest after India clean swept Sri Lanka in the Test as well as the T20I series.
After the Indian team, now Rohit will be looking forward to managing his IPL team, Mumbai Indians have done some decent business in this year’s mega auction which was conducted in the month of February. Mumbai Indians bought an amazing English pace bowler named Jofra Archer for 8 Crore, but he won’t be taking part in this year’s IPL due to injury. Rohit Sharma was seen doing batting practice in the nets. As Mumbai Indians’ former opening batter Quinton de Kock is now in Lucknow Super Giants, it will be a question for the MI fans who will open the innings along with the skipper Rohit Sharma.
However, it is most likely that Ishan Kishan will open the innings with Rohit Sharma as the boy from Jharkhand has also done that while playing for India in the recent West Indies and Sri Lanka series.
