TATA IPL 2022: Ravindra Jadeja appointed new captain for CSK

Ravindra Jadeja has been named as the new CSK skipper as legend MS Dhoni has decided to step down from captaincy.

MS Dhoni has decided to step down from the captaincy of the IPL team named Chennai Super Kings. Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is the new captain of the franchise. The team has officially announced it on all the social media handles on Thursday. It was the announcement that MS Dhoni’s fans never wanted to hear but the former captain of the Indian team himself decided it.

It was shocking news for all the CSK fans as they were expecting a captain cool’s class again in this new season of IPL but now the in-form all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja will lead the team from this year. MS remained captain of CSK in every year the franchise played in the league and this will be the first time when he won’t be captaining the team.

The fans are eagerly waiting for the IPL  to start and it is starting with a blockbuster game between last season’s finalists i.e. Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders. It is highly possible that Ravindra Jadeja will captain the side (Chennai Super Kings) for the first time on 26th March against Kolkata Knight Riders. MS Dhoni will now be playing only as a player but his suggestions will still be very important for the team.
