Ticket sales for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 will officially open today at 18:45 IST, with the International Cricket Council (ICC) announcing historically low entry-level prices to make the tournament widely accessible to fans. Tickets can be booked through the official portal tickets.cricketworldcup.com, where Phase I sales will go live.

For the first time in the tournament’s history, fans in India can purchase entry-level tickets starting from just ₹100 (approximately $1.11), while tickets in Sri Lanka begin at LKR1000 (approximately $3.26). The ICC has positioned affordability as the centrepiece of this year’s ticketing strategy, aiming to reduce barriers for fans wanting to experience cricket’s grandest T20 event in person.

The 10th edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka, with matches scheduled across eight venues from 7 February to 8 March 2026. The tournament will open with Pakistan facing the Netherlands in Colombo, followed by West Indies taking on Bangladesh in Kolkata. India’s campaign will begin with a blockbuster clash against the USA at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

With over 2 million tickets available in Phase I, the ICC aims to democratise the in-stadia cricket experience and welcome fans from diverse backgrounds.
ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta said the focus is on creating the most accessible and global ICC event ever staged, adding that the 2026 edition—with 20 teams and 55 matches—will redefine fan experience and inclusivity.

BCCI Honorary Secretary Devajit Saikia noted that the affordable pricing “multiplies the excitement” around the event, and assured fans of a world-class match-day experience featuring modern amenities, smooth logistics and buzzing stadium atmospheres.

Sri Lanka Cricket CEO Ashley de Silva encouraged fans to secure their seats early, highlighting the country’s readiness to co-host an event filled with energy and passion.

Matches will be played at:
Narendra Modi Stadium (Ahmedabad), MA Chidambaram Stadium (Chennai), Arun Jaitley Stadium (New Delhi), Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai), Eden Gardens (Kolkata), R. Premadasa Stadium (Colombo), Singhalese Sports Club Ground (Colombo) and Pallekele International Cricket Stadium (Kandy).

With high-stakes contests, global rivalries and unprecedented affordability, the T20 World Cup 2026 promises to deliver one of the most inclusive and electrifying cricketing spectacles to date.
