
Former New Zealand all-rounder Corey Anderson will play for the USA in the men’s T20 World Cup 2024, making a comeback to international cricket after playing for New Zealand before.
Anderson, known for his strong batting and left-arm bowling, is part of the 15-player USA team for the tournament. The event will happen in the USA and Caribbean. Anderson’s experience from playing in three previous World Cups, including the 2015 50-over event, will be valuable for the USA team.
The team, led by Monank Patel, includes key players like vice-captain Aaron Jones, wicket-keeper Andries Gous, and experienced players Steven Taylor and Ali Khan.
Shayan Jahangir is in the squad after doing well in World Cup Qualifiers in Zimbabwe. He replaces Gajanand Singh and brings more stability to the USA’s batting. The pace attack will be led by Ali Khan and has the likes of Saurabh Netravalkar, Jessy Singh, and Shadley Van Schalkwyk. The spin department will be handled by Harmeet Singh, Nosthush Kenjige, and Nisarg Patel.
