Steve Smith sees South Africa’s series as an exciting challenge

Steven Smith led his team to the victory in the second Test match against West Indies.

Australian team defeated West Indies in the two-match Test series. They won both of their games in this series and they were huge victories for the World Champions. Now, after the West  Indies series, Australia will play against South Africa in the three-game Test series.

Batter Steven Smith who was made captain in the second Test against West Indies as Australia’s skipper Pat Cummins got an injury is excited to play this series against South Africa. Steve Smith feels this will be a new and exciting challenge for him. Steve Smith is likely to be captain of the team in this series as well as there are no latest updates on Pat Cummins’ injury yet.

Steve Smith’s records aren’t good against South Africa and thus he’ll be looking to make it better in this series.

“I’m excited. South Africa is probably the one team, they’ve bowled pretty well to be in the past, my record is probably not quite as good against them as some of the others,” said Steve Smith ahead of South Africa’s series as reported by ESPNcricinfo.com.

The first Test between Australia and South Africa will be played on 17th December at The Gabba.
