Star spinner added to the Aussie side for the final 2 T20I’s

Australia has called up off spinner Nathan Lyon for the final two T20I’s against India as a cover for the young Cameron Green who will be playing three day match against India A starting this Sunday.

Australia has been facing lot of injury scares going into the test series as they have already lost services of strike opener David Warner, Marcus Stoinis and Ashton Agar to injuries. Pat Cummins has been rested to manage his workload while playing. The captain Aaron Finch is also in doubt to play the next match as he himself was seen limping during the first T20I.

Nathan Lyon has vast experience in the longer format, but has the least experience in the shortest format. He has only played 2 T20’s for the Australian side. He has played for the BBL side Sydney Sixers where his stats are quite impressive. He has played 33 matches for the side, taking 41 wickets at impressive economy of 6.28.

He might come straight into team looking at his experience over the domestic leagues in Australia.
