Sri Lanka announced 20-man squad for West Indies tour

Sri Lanka recently announced their squad which will tour West Indies for 3 T20Is followed by 3 ODIs. The teams are scheduled to play limited over cricket from 3rd March. Dimuth Karunaratne has been named the ODI captain of the team, while Dasun Shanaka will lead in the T20Is. The teams will also play 2 Test matches which will be part of the World Test Championship.

Sri Lanka is yet to decide their squad for the Test series against West Indies. West Indies recently toured Bangladesh and won the series in their home and will be looking forward to showing their gameplay on their home ground. On the other hand, Sri Lanka lost their last series against England because of the brilliant performance of England’s skipper Joe Root.

Lahiru Kumara will miss the white-ball leg as the seamer has been ruled out after testing positive of Covid-19. Experienced campaigners like Angelo Mathews, Thisara Perera, Dinesh Chandimal, and Niroshan Dickwella made the cut.
