BCCI President Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah lay foundation stone of the new NCA

On February 14th, BCCI laid the foundation stone for the new National Cricket Academy.

President of BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India), Sourav Ganguly, and Secretary Jay Shah on February 14th, 2022, laid the foundation stone of the new National Cricket Academy.

NCA is the most prominent academy in India, run by BCCI. The old National Cricket Academy has now been given an elegant look. Sourav Ganguly shared the pictures of the academy to announce about new NCA.

Jay Shah also took it to Twitter to share the fantastic news. VVS Laxman and Pragyan Ojha can also be seen present during the inaugural ceremony of the new National Cricket Academy.

NCA is a world-class cricket academy where players are provided with the best facilities. Yuvraj Singh, Gautam Gambhir, and Rohit Sharma are a few cricketers who have been practicing in NCA for years. Cricketers who perform well in junior and senior domestic matches are only admitted to the NCA. Also, training camps for men’s and women’s junior national teams are held in NCA.

Facilities in NCA include more than 30 practice pitches, 20 floodlights, gyms, ATMs, and a shopping center. Certification courses for coaches are also provided by NCA to develop National level coaches.

The land has been secured by BCCI on a 99-year lease. The new facility, which is scheduled to be completed in a year, will include three grounds for domestic matches.
