SL v AUS, 2nd ODI: Pat Cummins misses a well-deserved fifer post recovery from an injury

In the second ODI match between Sri Lanka v Australia, Pat Cummins took 4 wickets after coming back from his injury sustained during IPL 2022.

In today’s match between Australia versus Sri Lanka, the Australian pacer Pat Cummins took 4 wickets by giving just 35 runs in his spell. First, he got the wicket of Sri Lankan left-handed Batsman Danushka Gunathilaka caught in the deep when he was at just 18 runs. Subsequently, wicket-keeper batsman, Kusal Mendis, and Dhananjaya de silva started rebuilding the innings until they were derided by Pat Cummins. Kusal Mendis and Dhananjaya de Silva scored 36 and 34 each.

The rest of the work was done by debutant Matthew Kuhnemann and Glenn Maxwell who bagged 2 wickets each and one wicket was picked by Mitchell Swepson. Pat Cummins was unable to complete his fifer due to rain. The match got interrupted in 48.4 overs which pushed back Pat Cummins from his much-deserved fifer.
