Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur Smashes An Undisputed 143 Against England

In the ICC Women’s ODI series India was facing England at the St. Lawrence Ground, England. The host won the toss and choose to bowl first. The trick initially worked for England as they departed Indian destructive opener, Shefali Verma (8), in the early part of the game.

However, England was not aware of the unstoppable storm coming ahead of them. After Smriti Mandhana (40) and Yastika Bhatia (26) were sent back to the pavilion by English bowlers, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur took charge.

The Indian skipper not only scored her second international ton but she made sure the Indian scorecard ended with a massive total. Kaur scored 143 not out off just 111 balls with an impressive strike rate of 128.82 which included Eighteen classic fours and four huge sixes.

The best part about her innings was when she scored 45 runs in just 11 balls which dazzled the English bowler. The skipper’s extraordinary innings helped the Indian side to reach a massive total of 333/5.

This is the second international hundred for the Indian skipper and her flow of shots clearly shows that she can be very lethal to any opposition.
