Aus vs Ind: Shubhman Gill missed his maiden ton by 9 runs

Indian young opener Shubhman Gill missed his maiden ton just by 9 runs on the final day of the Gabba Test. He scored astonishing 91 runs in 146 balls with the help of 8 boundaries and 2 sixes. Gill was caught by Steve Smith at slip in the ball of Lyon. Gill is currently the highest scorer in the series as he scored  259 runs. The partnership between Pujara and Gill gave India an upper-hand against Australia.

Shubhman Gill was very close to his maiden 100 as he was looking in good touch and was above the opposition’s bowler. He hasn’t scored a 100 in international cricket yet in any form of cricket. Earlier Shubhman Gill broke the record of Gavaskar and became the youngest Indian player to score 50+ in the 4th inning of the Test. He made this record at the age of 21 years and 133 days while Gavaskar did the same at the age of 21 years and 243 days.
