Shakib Al Hasan all set to make a Test comeback after recovering World Cup 2023 injury

Bangladesh’s cricket team would be happy to have its star all-rounder back giving them a significant boost for the second Test against Sri Lanka in Chattogram. The BCB ( Bangladesh Cricket Board) has made two big changes  in the Test squad ahead. The second Test will start on 30th March and the visitors will be looking forward to have a better side with Shakib’s entry.

The Bangladeshi all-rounder return comes as a major positive for Bangladesh as the visitors surely are looking forward to level the series. The experienced Shakib has been missing the cricket action since the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.  He was unfortunately  ruled out of the World Cup 2023 campaign due to a left index finger injury just before Bangladesh’s last World Cup match against Australia. His valuable contribution with both bat and ball was missed by the team.

Shakib return is expected to boost the team’s batting and bowling area, adding depth and experience to the lineup.  Both fans and experts are looking forward to anticipate his comeback and the impact he will have on changing the scenario for  Bangladesh’s Test series.

Shakib played his last Test in April 2023 and has now replaced Tawhid Hridoy. The Tiger also had to make another change in the squad for Mushfik Hasan who has been ruled out due to a left ankle injury.

Bangladesh squad for the second Test: Najmul Hossain Shanto (Captain), Zakir Hasan, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Shadman Islam, Litton Das, Mominul Haque, Shakib Al Hasan, Shahadat Hossain, Mehidy Hassan Miraz, Nayeem Hasan, Taijul Islam, Shoriful Islam, Khaled Ahmed, Nahid Rana, Hasan Mahmud.
