West Indies have recently announced their ODI squad for the upcoming series against South Africa.
After the 2019 World Cup, Gabriel, who recently made a comeback in international cricket during the Zimbabwe Tests, hasn’t played for West Indies in the 50-over format. The CWI also stated that Anderson Phillip was not taken into consideration despite returning to training because he has not yet regained match fitness and fast bowler Jayden Seales was unavailable due to knee surgery.
The series will see Shai Hope lead the ODI side for the first time since being named skipper.
