Opting to bat first, South Africa initiated a positive start as the hosts have crossed hundred runs with opener Markram raising his bat for a half-ton.
The opening partnership was solid, and Elgar’s downfall was only due to a missed shot. The pacers didn’t have much to work with, and the Protean batters got by with relative ease. Markram picked up right where he left off in the previous game, and he’s batting on an unbeaten 55. Gudakesh Motie, on the other hand, bagged a wicket for West Indies as opener Dean Elgar was departed for 42 runs off 54 deliveries.

Elgar leans in looking to sweep but there’s a hint of extra bounce, which causes it to take atop edge and pop up towards short fine-leg.
