SA vs ENG: South Africa finish on 179/6 as van der Dussen provides a good finish

England got off to a flier as Sam Curran got Bavuma out in the first over, but couldn’t capitalize on the start as captain Quinton De Kock and Faf Du Plessis had a 77 run partnership until De Kock gifted an easy catch to Eoin Morgan at cover.

Faf Du Plessis was impressive as he scored his 9th T20i half century. De Plessis got out on 58(40) including 4 fours and 2 sixes. Henrich Klaasen had a good start but couldn’t really capitalize on the start as he got out on 20(12). Van Der Dussen was also impressive, scoring 37 off 28 deliveries including 3 sixes.

Debutant George Linde contributed with the bat as he scored 12 important runs at the death that could prove to be important for South Africa.

Sam Curran had a good day with the ball as he took 3 wickets in his four overs conceding only 28 runs.

South Africa have set up a decent target that they can defend although the bowlers will have to be at their best considering England’s batting depth and also the quality they possess.
