Rishabh Pant was severely injured in a car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway on December 30, 2022. The incredible wicketkeeper-batter has been out of action for some time due to injuries, and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly recently opened up about Pant’s likely return to the national team.
Ganguly, who is managing the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2023, believes the Indian star cricketer may take up to two years to return to the Indian team.
“I spoke to him a couple of times. Obviously he is going through a tough period, through injuries and surgeries and I wish him well. In a year’s time or may be in a couple of years’ time, he will be back playing for India,” Ganguly was quoted as saying by PTI.
