Rashid Khan departs for National Duty, a major setback to Lahore Qalandars

Rashid Khan, the standout player of the Lahore Qalandars, is set to depart the HBL Pakistan Super League to join the Afghanistan national squad.

According to Rashid’s tweet, he is leaving the Pakistan Super League to join the Afghanistan  national team. Rashid’s departure in the middle of the tournament would be a setback to the Qalandars, as he has been key to their success with his superb bowling stint, in which he has been efficient with tight line and length while also picking up crucial wickets.

Rashid’s withdrawal would perhaps charge the Qalandars heavily because he was in a fantastic form. In nine matches, the 23-year-old took 13 wickets at an economy rate of 6.25 runs per over. He’s also come through with the bat when his side needed him, scoring 55 runs at a magnificent strike rate of 220.
