Ranji Trophy 2022-23: Prithvi Shaw slams double hundred against Assam

In Tuesday’s Ranji Trophy match between Mumbai and Assam in Guwahati, opener Prithvi Shaw slammed his second First Class double-century. At the Amingaon Cricket Ground, which is hosting its first First Class match, Assam won the toss and elected to bowl. Shaw reached the milestone after only 235 deliveries.

Before the lunch break, Shaw raced to his century off just 107 deliveries as he attacked the bowlers with a barrage of boundaries. Shaw has not scored a century in any format since his record-breaking 134 against the same opposition in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in October 2022. This is his first century of the Ranji Trophy season.
