Rain threat looms large over INDW vs SAW Women’s World Cup 2025 clash in Visakhapatnam

The India women’s cricket team is set to face South Africa women in their third match of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 at the YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Thursday. However, rain could play a major spoiler, with multiple weather alerts suggesting interruptions throughout the day.

Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, India will look to extend their winning run after convincing victories against Sri Lanka and Pakistan earlier in the tournament. But as per AccuWeather, Visakhapatnam is under a heavy rainfall alert, with a 33% chance of thunderstorms in the evening and 18% during the day. The forecast also indicates occasional showers in the afternoon, which could delay the start of play or cause interruptions.

The temperature is expected to hover between 31°C and 26°C, while air quality remains unhealthy, as per the report.

Here’s the hourly rain prediction for Thursday in Visakhapatnam:

Time Chance of Rain
3 PM 23%
4 PM 49%
5 PM 51%
6 PM 58%
7 PM 25%
8 PM 20%
9 PM 20%
