Rahul Dravid opens up about split captaincy

Rahul Dravid has had his say on Indian cricket team’s split captaincy.

Indian cricket team coach Rahul Dravid were asked questions in the press conference ahead of their game against New Zealand on Monday, 23rd January. The final game of the series between India and New Zealand will be played on Tuesday, 24th January.

Rahul Dravid was asked some spiced up questions in the media ahead of the game and he answered it very politely. A reporter asked him about the split captaincy of Indian cricket team. Indian fans are concerned about this since the T20 World Cup 2022. After the Indian team lost to England in the semifinals of the competition, Rohit Sharma didn’t see as Indian captain in T20Is.

Hardik Pandya was named captain in all the T20Is series India played after the world cup. Fans believe that there could be captaincy split and Hardik Pandya could be named the full-time Indian captain of the T20I format. However Rahul Dravid denied all the talks and said he doesn’t know anything about this.

“Not that I am aware of (India adopting split captaincy). That’s a question you need to ask the selectors but as of now, I don’t think so,” said Rahul Dravid in the press conference as reported by PTI.
