Mark Boucher’s hearing related to the racism issue has been postponed for almost 3 months.

Paul Adams shared the field with Mark Boucher during his time with the national team as he played for the Proteas from 1995 till 2004. Mark Boucher was the team’s wicket-keeper then.

South Africa will be touring to New Zealand for the test series which will begin from February 17 and will be scheduled to host Bangladesh from March 18. The hearing between the two tours might disturb the momentum of Proteas players.

Terry Motau is currently advocating for Mark Boucher as the lawyer initiated the request of postponing the hearing. Boucher’s legal team is assuring that the current Proteas player shall come forward to testify. Motau in a statement briefed that Cricket South Africa request the hearing to proceed in a “speedy commencement”. The hearing has been postponed until May and will take place on May 16.

Boucher earlier stated that he is ready to deal with these accusations and will probably defend the alleged charges against him.
