PSL: The opening pair of Quetta Gladiators dominate the first innings

Will Smeed scored 97 off 62 balls, helping Quetta Gladiators reach the score of 190 runs.

Quetta Gladiators showcase a stunning batting performance as the openers dominates the first innings for the team.

Ahsan Ali and Will Smeed batted for 15 overs and dominated the first innings hitting all the bowlers without losing a single wicket. Quetta Gladiators were 155-0 when the first wicket fell in the 15th over.

Ahsan scored 73 runs off 46 balls with a strike rate of 158.7 while Smeed got out in the last ball of the innings trying to complete his century with a six but got caught out at the boundary line. The opening pair performed stunningly and opened a match-winning start for Quetta.

Smeed debuted his PSL career with a powerful knock of 97 runs and felt short of just three to hit a century in his very first game in PSL. Quetta Gladiators will be glad for the wonderful opening batsman. They can keep more expectations from the opening pair.

Ahsan and Smeed give Gladiators the record of highest partnership for the team in PSL history as the 150+ partnership stand of the openers start the season well for the team. Quetta Gladiators might be disappointed not reaching the 200-run mark despite the 150+ partnership by the openers.

Usman Qadir and Sameen Gul managed to take two wickets each for team Peshawar Zalmi but a poor bowling performance by the team could not stop Quetta Gladiators from scoring a great score on the board. Peshawar Zalmi needs 191 runs in the second innings to take back the game which is currently in favor of Quetta Gladiators.
