The 81-run stand between Shoaib Malik and Talat helped Peshwar Zalmi to come back in the game. Talat couldn’t stand not out but his brilliant half-century created an impact on the field. Shoaib taking the last single scored 48 runs and stood not out for the team. The experienced batsman Malik played sensibly to take over the win. Malik bashed Faulkner for 22 runs in an over where momentarily the game changed and a successful door opened for team Peshwar Zalmi.
Smeed’s debut goes in vain as the youngster played his first game in the PSL scoring 97 runs and also created a record of a great partnership with Ahsan Ali. PSL witnessed the overseas player dominate the first innings while the local and experienced Pakistani player Malik won it for his team.
The fans experience a brilliant night with some sensational batting performance by both the teams and the bowling unit for both the teams seemed not to make any impact in today’s pitch. The dry pitch probably encouraged the batsman to score some runs on the board, while the bowlers struggled to take wickets. Usman Qadir and Sameen Gul managed to take two wickets each for team Peshawar Zalmi while Nawaz took 3 wickets for team Quetta Gladiators but struggled with an economy of 11.
