Phil Salt Claims A Swift Win For England

Phil Salt’s stunning 88 of 41 helps England win a eight wicket win against Pakistan.

England decided to bowl first against Pakistan at Lahore on Friday. Pakistan had an upsetting start losing a couple of wickets at the start. However, Pakistan’s skipper Babar Azam handled his side helping the team to reach a defendable score of 169/6.

The skipper’s innings also equalled him to Virat Kholi’s record of completing T20Is 3000 runs in just 81 innings.

However, only the skipper’s innings weren’t enough for the host to grab a win.

England’s wicketkeeper-opener Phil Salt dominated the Pakistani side completely. He scored a stunning 88 of 41 with a destructive strike rate of 214.63. The star player stood firm for England’s side till the winning shot.

Apart from Phil Salt (88*), Alex Hales played an accelerating innings scoring 27 of just 12 balls. David Malan and Ben Duckett both contributed 26 for England.

England made a swift win in just 14.3 overs against the host with eight wickets still in hand at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, Pakistan.
