Australian cricket team will be playing their last group stages game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 against Scotland which is a game of Interest for England as they are in tough situation right now. Group B is looking a bit interesting as two candidates are running for the second spot to get the qualification for the Super 8. England are at 3rd position with 3 points and Scotland are in second position with 5 points.
Scotland are most likely to finish at the second place but the defending champions are expecting their slip-up. Scotland will be playing Australia, where England are expecting the table toppers to win it for them.
There was reports suggesting that Australians are trying to eliminate England and thus would try to lose their last group stage game against Scotland. However, Pat Cummins have denied all the reports by saying, “I don’t think you can go into the game not trying to win ever. It’s probably against the spirit of cricket.” (via cricket.com.au).
Pat Cummins spoke about Australia’s mindset ahead of the game and according to him, the team will try hard to win the last game as well and will play like their previous ones. The game is set to be played on June 16.
