Pakistan has been exceptionally well in the T20I ever since 2018. Pak’s top guns Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have given the team the momentum and boost they needed before the ICC T20I World Cup.
However, Pakistan has also made their spot in the finals of the tri-series against New Zealand and Bangladesh.
Pakistan Batters Fire in Run Chase
No doubt Pak’s opening duo has been lethal this year. Both Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have given the team a stronghold whenever it comes to chasing off massive targets.
In the recent tri-series, Rizwan and Babar scored their eighth 100-plus partnership in the T20Is. While the skipper played an aggressive inning of 55 off just 40 balls, Rizwan kept his composure scoring 69 off 56 balls.
Rizwan is currently ranked at the top of the ICC Men’s T20I batting rankings followed by India’s star middle order SuryaKumar Yadav.
India and Pakistan will go against each other in the big tournament on 23rd Oct to commence their games in the T20 World Cup.
