Experienced Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood speaks about the security concerns in Pakistan which might affect the squad for the upcoming tour in Pakistan.
As quoted by the journalists of cricket.com.au Josh Hazlewood feels that the players might back out from the Pakistan tour and he would not be surprised if any player does so. Hazlewood suggested that the players will probably have a conversation with their respective family and friends to decide to travel to Pakistan citing terrorism concerns.
Australia will be traveling to Pakistan for the series which includes 3 Test matches, 3 One Day Internationals, and a single T20I. The venue for the Tests matches is Karachi, which will be held from March 3 to March 7, followed by Rawalpindi, beginning on March 12 to March 16 and the last test will be played in Lahore from March 21 to March 25. With the last Test at Lahore, the remaining white-ball games (3 ODIs and 1 T20I) will be played at Lahore.
Australia will be playing in Pakistan after 24 years and in the two-and-a-half-year decade gap, Pakistan has not only missed hosting Australia but the other international teams, as well as the security concerns, restrict the teams to tour Pakistan citing terrorist attacks. Earlier Coach Langer suggested that the tour of Pakistan might be crucial as the Australian management was thinking to send in their best team but if the players back out from the squad, it might be an issue for both teams.
