Aaqib Javed, a former Pakistani paceman, has criticised India’s batting after a high-scoring ODI series against New Zealand. The Indian batters were able to score freely because, according to the former national team coach, the Kiwi bowlers aren’t as good as Pakistan’s.

In the first and third games of the ODI series in India, the home team scored 349 and 385 points, respectively. The Kiwis lost by 90 runs in the third while only losing by 12 runs in the first.

Aaqib Javed believes that Pakistan has always been a challenge for India and does not anticipate any problems for the Men in Green during this year’s 50-over World Cup in India.

“Pakistan has always given India a tough time. When the Pakistan team goes to India for the World Cup, it will not face any problem in playing on the pitches there,” said Aaqib (to Geo News).

“Although, recently India scored a lot of runs against New Zealand in the ODI series. But the bowling of Pakistan is not the bowling of New Zealand, so the Indian batsmen scored four hundred runs.”
