
Tayyab Tahir, an uncapped domestic batter, has been selected by Pakistan for the three ODIs at home against New Zealand in Karachi. Tahir has an encouraging List A record with a 43.95 average in 49 matches, three hundreds, and 15 fifties.
Shadab Khan, the team’s regular vice-captain, is noticeably missing from the lineup due to a finger injury he sustained while playing for the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League. Usama Mir, a 27-year-old uncapped leg-spinner, has been selected in his place.
Abrar Ahmed, who has been impressive with the red ball since making an incredible debut against England last month, is left off the team.
