New Zealand will be touring Pakistan for the incredible white-ball series. Good news for Pakistan – Shaheen Afridi returns after 4 months.
The first three Twenty20 Internationals of the series will be played on April 14 in Lahore, followed by the concluding two Twenty20 Internationals in Rawalpindi. The first two One-Day Internationals will also be held in Rawalpindi before the sides finish the series in Karachi with three more ODIs.
Following a four-month absence, Shaheen Afridi has rejoined the national team as Pakistan’s officials have chosen a full-strength lineup for the upcoming white-ball series against New Zealand at home. Babar Azam, who was recently rested for the brief series against Afghanistan, will now serve as skipper.
Shaheen hasn’t played for Pakistan since the T20 World Cup in Australia last year because he was finishing up his recovery from a knee injury he had suffered. In the Pakistan Super League, where he helped Lahore Qalandars win the championship, he made a successful return.
