ODI World Cup 2023: David Malan makes a promising comeback with an explosive century

Bangladesh won the toss and decided to field first against England at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. Bangladesh bowlers tried to restrict English openers from scoring but somehow failed as the duo scored an opening partnership of 115 runs in 17 overs. Jonny Bairstow scored 52 off 59 balls, losing his wicket to Shakib Al Hasan.

However, David Malan kept going to make a comeback from his last match disappointment by scoring an excellent hundred. Malan scored his sixth ODI century in 91 balls, which included twelve fours and two massive sixes. It would be interesting to see how big Malan can make this innings as he has more than 20 overs of play with him. He has been the top run scorer for England in the past four-year period.
