For the next West Indies tour, which includes three one-day internationals and five Twenty20 internationals, the pace pair of Jess Kerr and Molly Penfold, as well as top-order batter Lauren Down, have been brought back to the New Zealand squad. The three take the position of the Commonwealth Games bronze-winning team’s Claudia Green, Rosemary Mair, and wicketkeeper Jess McFadyen.

Down chose not to participate in the CWG owing to health reasons, and Kerr was forced to withdraw due to a foot injury. Penfold, a 21-year-old who made her international debut against England last year, is back with the team.

Squad: Sophie Devine, Suzie Bates, Eden Carson, Lauren Down, Izzy Gaze, Maddy Green, Brooke Halliday, Hayley Jensen, Fran Jonas, Jess Kerr, Amelia Kerr, Molly Penfold, Georgia Plimmer, Hannah Rowe, Lea Tahuhu
