NZ vs WI: West Indies lose their momentum in a big chase

West Indies are chasing a huge total of 239 in the 2nd T20 against New Zealand. This total was done with the NZ youngsters stepping up to the occasion and made the WI bowlers struggle at every point during their innings.

In the run chase, WI batsman are looking clueless as they have lost 4 wickets within the first 10 overs of the their innings. Andre Fletcher and Brandon King opened the innings for WI. Fletcher smacked a huge six in the very first over and was looking dangerous in his short stay. In the very first ball of second over Kyle Jamieson got the wicket of Brandon King by knocking his stumps over.

This was just the beginning of the downfall of the WI innings as they completely lost the momentum in the coming overs. Fletcher who was looking dangerous made 20 off 14 deliveries in which he smacked two sixes.

He was found out of his while stealing a run and the centurion Glenn Phillips knocked the bails with a direct hit.

Kyle Mayers played a similar knock like Fletcher where scored 20 off 14 deliveries which had 2 sixes in it. He gave his wicket to All rounder James Neesham.  Nicholas Pooran had a short outing like the previous match as he got out on the score of 7 where he gave his wicket to left arm spinner Mitchell Santner. ‘The WI are now looking to build a partnership as the score is gone beyond 100 for them as their captain just lost his wicket to spinner Mitchell Santner. Pollard got out after scoring a quick 28 off 15 deliveries. Shimron Hetmyer is at one end trying to get team as close as possible to the target.

The score stands at 108/5 after 13  overs.
