NZ vs WI: Match stopped due to rain

The third T20I between New Zealand and West Indies has been halted due to rain.

West Indies were put in to bat first by the New Zealand’s newest captain Mitchell Santner. Both the teams had few changes in their sides as the New Zealand have already won the series 2-0. The three changes for New Zealand were Scott Kuggeleijin, Bennett and Daryl Mitchell in place of Ross Taylor, Tim Southee and Kyle Jamieson.

For West Indies the changes were Hayden Walsh and Shepherd in place of Hetmyer and Keemo Paul.

The West Indies started their innings well as they were at 25 for loss of 1 wicket in the start of the third over of first innings. That’s when rain came in to spoil the momentum.

It is still raining in New Zealand and if it continues for more 5-10 minutes, as per the rules overs will be deducted. The rain affected the first match of this series as well as it made the first match of only 16 overs.
