NZ vs WI: Ferguson gets fifer at Auckland, becomes only 2nd Kiwi to achieve the feat

The first T20 is underway in New Zealand , between the hosts and West Indies. As the West Indies unleashed their power hitting in first two overs, the match was halted by rain and began soon enough. The West Indies lost their first wicket on the score of 58 at the start of fourth over which was being bowled by Lockie Ferguson. He took another wicket in the same over. Southee joined him as he took two wickets as well.

After the carnage by West Indies openers, NZ pulled the game back in their favour by taking five wickets in 13 deliveries. The West Indian captain Pollard and Fabien Allen controlled their team’s innings and made sure that team reaches a decent total. The match was interrupted again by rain and it was reduced to 16 over game.Pollard with his sublime form started hitting the ball out of the park as he scored 75 off just 37 deliveries.

For NZ, Ferguson was star performer with the ball as he took 5 wickets in his four over quota and gave only 21 runs. He handled the match after the power hitting by the West Indies openers in first two overs.
