NZ vs WI 2020: Shane Bond feels Kyle Jamieson can earn an IPL contract with good performance in T20

Former New Zealand player Shane Bond feels that Kyle Jamieson’s great performance against West Indies in T20 can help him get a maiden IPL contract. Earlier Kyle Jamieson impressed everyone with his all-round abilities in the Tests and ODIs against India, which led New Zealand to two victories.

Kyle Jamieson has not made his T20 debut, but Shane Bond opined that if he performs well then chances are high that he can turn himself into a big star in future for New Zealand.

“I’m looking forward to seeing how he does T20s, there are always opportunities in the T20 games. With other IPL around the corner, who knows what can happen. Things in this game can change pretty quickly”, Shane Bond said.

Shane Bond has a lot of hope with the NZ new sensation. He believes that the player has taken the game into the next level. He also lauded Kyle for improving himself, and working on his weaker side even without having any competitive cricket. Shane is extremely excited to see the player on ground.

“I thought he was sensational last season. He’s certainly taken his game to another level, and I think that’s a sign of investment New Zealand Cricket made in him- the value of those A tours and programs. He’s learned about travelling and what ie required to be at the top,” Shane Bond.

The second part is the credit that Kyle deserves for going away and continuing to improve on areas that he had. He’s a hugely exciting talent, he obviously offers many skills,” added Shane Bond.

The first T20I between the West Indies and and New Zealand will be played on November 27th.
