NZ vs ENG Day 3 Live: England enforce follow-on after restricting New Zealand for a low total

The visitors have completely sealed the 2nd Test with their sheer dominance as they enforced follow-on after restricting the hosts for 209 runs.

On Day 2, England took complete control of the second Test against New Zealand, thanks to a lethal opening spell from James Anderson, who has risen to the top of the world Test bowling rankings. After England declared their first innings at 435-8, veteran seamer Anderson snagged 3-37 to send the Black Caps crashing to 138-7 when rain forced an early end to day two in Wellington. Spinner Jack Leach also took three wickets, leaving New Zealand trailing by 297 runs with three days to go.

After the incredible dominance on Day 2, team England looked a bit underprepared as Tim Southee along with Tom Blundell chose to smash some long boundaries and the fire start by the hosts was an entertaining start for the Day 3’s morning.

After a successful half-ton, Southee was ultimately sent off post two missed chances which kept the Kiwi skipper on pitch for a longer time.

After Broad claimed the important wicket, Blundell and Matt Henry were an easy target to seal the New Zealand innings.
