No PSL 2025 broadcast in India as Fancode halts streaming after Pahalgam terror attack

In the aftermath of the devastating terror attack in South Kashmir’s Pahalgam that claimed 26 lives, Indian sports streaming platform Fancode has decided to suspend the live broadcast of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 with immediate effect. The move reflects the rising public sentiment and growing diplomatic tension in response to the tragedy.

The attack took place on Tuesday at Baisaran meadow near Pahalgam, where a group of tourists came under a brutal assault. It is now being considered one of the worst terrorist attacks since Pulwama 2019, where 40 CRPF personnel were martyred.

During a public rally in Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a strong message to the nation and the international community.

“This attack was not on tourists — enemies have tried to attack the soul of India,” he declared, adding, “Those who perpetrated this attack and the conspirators — they will be punished beyond imagination.”

With visible resolve, PM Modi added:

“India will identify and punish the terrorists. Terrorism will not go unpunished. Every effort will be made to ensure that justice is done.”
“We will pursue them to the ends of the earth. The time to bury such forces has come.”

His speech has drawn nationwide support, underlining the government’s zero tolerance policy on terrorism and signaling bold diplomatic, military, and regulatory responses in the days ahead.

The suspension of PSL 2025 broadcast by Fancode is one of the first visible reactions from India’s private sector, aligning with the government’s tough stand on cross-border terrorism.
