“Next time, send the real Mr Bean,” President Zimbabwe mocks Pakistan after the embarrassing loss against Zimbabwe in T20 World Cup

Zimbabwe President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa tweeted the following after Zimbabwe defeated Pakistan on the final ball of the T20 World Cup 2022: “What a win…Congratulations to the Chevrons…Next time, send the real Mr Bean.”

This is in response to the social media trending topic “Fraud Pak Mr. Bean.” In 2016, Mr. Bean impersonating comedian Mohammad Asif from Pakistan travelled to Harare to perform.

In a thrilling T20 World Cup game on Thursday, Zimbabwe outplayed Pakistan by one run.  In order to stop their fancied opponents at 129 for eight while defending a modest 131, Zimbabwe stifled the Pakistani hitters and took wickets at regular intervals.

With statistics of 3 for 25 from his four overs, including the dismissals of Shan Masood (44), Shahdab Khan (17), and Haider Ali, all-rounder Sikandar Raza,(who was born in Pakistan), completely changed the course of the game in the middle overs.

In addition to Blessing Muzarabani (1/18) and Luke Jongwe (1/10), right-arm pacer Brad Evans returned with figures of 2/25 to aid his team’s remarkable victory.

Following a nail-biting four-wicket loss to archrival India, it was Pakistan’s second loss in as many games.
