New Zealand announces 15 players squad for the ICC T20 World Cup

Blackcaps announced a 15 member squad for the world cup and the upcoming series against India. Ross Taylor and Colin de Grandhomme to miss out on the squad.

The World Test Champion NZ announced their squad as captain Kane Williamson and many other senior players were excluded from the upcoming tours to Bangladesh and Pakistan as the centre of focus is on the big event of the World Cup which is going to take place in the United Arab Emirates.

“The need to safeguard the well-being of our players and support staff is now very real, and we’ve endeavoured to do this by carefully managing their workloads over this (year’s) massive playing programme, It’s a pragmatic approach. We’ve always tried to be realistic about the IPL and this particular issue is very much a one-off, caused by a unique set of circumstances,” White said as per NDTV sports.
